The nose has lots of fruit and rye bread notes. The taste is lemon, toffee and milk chocolate. Lots of rye whisky flavors but lacks a little body and rye spice for me. The finish has cocoa, herbs, mint and some floral quality. Again some classic rye notes if a little short. Overall it seemed to me as if this had been blended to be a more approachable or even a beginner's rye. This was actually my second tasting of Bulleit Rye, and it was not quite what I remembered, so I will have to put it in the "try again" category.
