I suspect this another of brands that are actually produced by Cooley's as there is no active Locke's distillery. Like Kilbeggan Locke's also choose to put the quite frankly meaningless date on their bottle of 1757. The nose on this is Irish through and through, light, quite crisp with a dry oakiness. The taste is lemony and smooth, perhaps Robinson's Lemon Barley water or even hollandiase sauce because of some of the oilness and buttery richness. This fades into a very dry oak finish, so dry I even get a little woodsmoke and pepper, and some of the oiliness stays through the finish as well.
