The Traditional refers to the traditional use of peat to dry barley in the malting proces. In the nose there is some peat smoke, but not to the extent of an Islay, and some malty notes and perhaps lemon as well. The taste has some more malt, vanilla and then the smoke builds in the finish. Mouth feel is quite silky and light. Not overly complex but still balanced. With water I get a little caramel and it gets more oaky in the finish.
