An interesting whisky made primarily from wheat. While wheat is sometimes used in making bourbons such as Makers Mark it is not usually the major component of the mash bill. The nose on this one has the very familiar bourbon notes and is quite spicy. The taste is toffee sweet with a hint of baked bread. The spices, bread and toffee combine to remind me a little of a bread and butter pudding. Pepper and spice build in the finish along with some oak notes at the very end. Nice whisky at a great price.
