As I mentioned in the Highland Park 30 year old notes, I don't taste a lot of whisky of this age and never quite sure what to expect. Classic sherry cask Speyside nose, with dark fruits, like prunes, plums, raisins and Christmas fruit cake spices. The taste is sweet, more spices (pepper and cloves) and an interesting citrus and peach fruit note. Lots of oak in the finish. Complex enough to keep coming back too and finding new things, overall it's very good.
