I have tried this many times after it was recommended to me and always liked this light, non peated Islay, The nose has distinct salt and briney notes and some sweet malt. I still found the nose ever slightly off for me... something on the edge, perhaps even a hint of sulphur. However the taste was sweet brown sugar, malty, salty and some slightly bitter coffee even. The finish is spicy and soem oaky dryness comes through. Very nice, warming and good. Just that one off note in the nose... I definately prefer the Bunnahabhain 18 year old, but this is a good scotch.
