Old Pulteney Single Cask 1982 Limited Edition

This was a rather unusual find; a limited edition single cask in 50 ml mini bottle.   I found it when browsing the Whisky Shop in Aberdeen recently.  It was labelled as Cask 566, bottle 3126 and had an ABV of 58%.  The nose had lots of fruit including the pear note I often find in OP.  Also some green apples, caramel and biscuits.  The taste was initially very sweet, toffee and more fruits but this time a more stewed or cooked fruit rather than a fresh fruit.  The alcohol was also evident and some heat and spice builds into the finish which is quite warming and peppery.  With water the tsate got even sweeter, even sugary, and their were some more malty biscuit notes.
