The nose has malt at first and a little yeast as well. Overall fresh and young nose, which is not surprising as this was bottled at just 3 years old and is the first release since Glenglassaugh went back into production in 2008. For my thoughts on this see blog "Return of the Dinosaurs". There is a strong sherry influence, spices plus citrus. It is very smooth and mouthfilling but the youthful spirit can be detected. With water it opens up and gets a little sweeter with toffee and even fudge. The finish has just a hint of dry oak and pepper. Pretty good and suggests good things to come.
